ATLANTA - Mayor Kasim Reed and U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx will take part in a media conference call this morning to announce the recipients of the latest round of Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) grants.
The Department of Transportation (DOT) will announce that 52 transportation projects in 37 states will receive a total of $474 million from the fifth round of DOT’s popular TIGER program. The projects funded through this round of TIGER illustrate the President’s goals of creating “Ladders of Opportunity,” the need for a “Fix it First” approach to infrastructure, and contributing to America’s economic growth.
