Mayor Kasim Reed Celebrates Official Groundbreaking Ceremony for NCR World Headquarters in Atlanta

ATLANTA – Mayor Kasim Reed joined NCR Corporation Chairman and CEO Bill Nuti today to celebrate the groundbreaking of the company’s new world headquarters campus in Midtown Atlanta. Cousins Properties CEO Larry Gellerstedt, Invest Atlanta CEO Craig J. Richard and Georgia Tech President Bud Peterson also attended the ceremony and welcomed NCR to the city.

NCR, the global leader in consumer transaction technologies, is projected to create 3,600 new jobs in the City of Atlanta as a result of establishing its new, state-of-the-art world headquarters campus in Technology Square, in the heart of Midtown.

“We are thrilled that NCR Corporation is building its new, $260 million headquarters here in Atlanta and bringing more than 3,600 jobs to our city,” said Mayor Reed. “Thanks to companies like NCR, the City of Atlanta continues to be one of the fastest-growing technology centers in the nation and reinforces our emerging presence as an international technology center.”

Located at the corner of 8th and Spring Street NW, the new headquarters will establish a presence for NCR close to Atlanta’s rich innovation centers and leading academic institutions. It will also improve the company’s access to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, making it easier for financial services, retail and hospitality customers from all over the world to visit Atlanta and experience NCR’s innovative technology solutions.

Thế giới cá “Our new world headquarters campus is truly a watershed moment for the future of NCR and the City of Atlanta,” said NCR Chairman and CEO Bill Nuti. “We are partnering with the City of Atlanta, State of Georgia and the University System of Georgia to create an environment that will inspire passion, collaboration and innovation. It’s going to be one of the most dynamic tech communities in the world.”

“Advancing Atlanta’s global competitiveness is Invest Atlanta’s mission,” said Craig J. Richard, President and CEO of Invest Atlanta. “When a global powerhouse like NCR chooses Atlanta to base their world headquarters, it confirms Atlanta as a talent-rich city for global business.”

NCR’s software, hardware, and portfolio of services enables more than 550 million transactions daily across retail, financial, travel, hospitality, telecom and technology companies and small businesses worldwide.
