Atlanta Fire Rescue Department to Provide Free Smoke Alarm Detectors and Fire Extinguishers to Residents of Hightower Road in Northwest Atlanta

WHAT:

The Atlanta Fire Rescue Department will be distributing free smoke alarms and fire extinguishers to residents of Hightower Road in Northwest Atlanta. AFRD will also install smoke alarms for residents who request it.

AFRD Section Chief David Rhodes, who directs the department’s Community Risk Reduction group, will be available for interviews offering winter fire safety tips.

The Ronnie Thames Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to helping children and families affected by fire, donated the fire extinguishers for distribution.
