At 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will make a major funding announcement to help stabilize neighborhoods in Atlanta and Georgia hard-hit by the foreclosure crisis. Mayor Kasim Reed will be joined by HUD’s Southeast Regional Administrator Edward Jennings, Jr., Congressman Hank Johnson and other state and local leaders to host a news conference at the revitalized Atlanta home of a family assisted through HUD’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program.
