City of Atlanta Launches New Redesigned and Redeveloped Government Website update based on traffic analytics and public input

ATLANTAThế giới cá – The City of Atlanta announced today that it has launched a new version of, the City’s official website.  The website has been redesigned and redeveloped to be more usable, intuitive and accessible. The site, which serves more than one million unique visitors and has more than 6.5 million page views per year, experienced major improvements to its design and back-end technology infrastructure, and aims for users to easily navigate through its data-informed interface.

Thế giới cá“I am pleased to launch the new City of Atlanta government website,” said Mayor Kasim Reed.  “With its intuitive data-driven design and enhanced platform, the new website demonstrates the City’s ongoing commitment to making technology work for everyone. The relaunch of is the latest endeavor in our efforts to make it easier than ever before for residents to get information, request services and find out what’s happening in their city.”

Thế giới cáFrom the new homepage, users can find important alerts, make an ATL311 service request, get information about their neighborhood and discover new events and programs. In addition, the website makes it easier to access information about services, connect with social media channels, download mobile apps and apply for a job with the City.

As part of the update, the website’s search functionality was also improved. Reflecting a data-driven approach, the most commonly requested information is displayed prominently on the site. In addition, the website is fully responsive, making it easy to use whether the user is accessing with a desktop computer, smartphone or tablet.

“ is a vital platform for interaction between residents and City government,” said Anne Torres, Director of Communications.  “Relaunching the city’s website was an essential component of Mayor Reed’s efforts to position Atlanta as a leading digital and innovative city.  The new website will deliver unparalleled customer service, usability and accessibility whether users are on a computer or mobile phone. From top requested information based on real-time analytics to improved search functionality, users will find exactly what they are looking for, faster and more easily than ever before.”

Since 2013, the City has hosted Government Hackathons in partnership with Startup Atlanta and Invest Atlanta. These hackathons have given programmers the opportunity to offer their skills in developing new solutions to improve city services.  Atlanta is also a 2014 Code for America city, a Fellowship that developed innovative, technology-based solutions to reduce wait times and make it easier to navigate the Municipal Court, improved access for local businesses to participate in the city’s procurement process, and allowed citizens to research and vote on projects considered in the 2015 infrastructure bond.

The last redesign of was in 2012.  The Mayor’s Office of Communications led design and development efforts in partnership with Vision Internet, a national leader in government website development.
