| WHAT: | One week after President Obama called for investments in transportation as part of “An America Built to Last” in his State of the Union address, Mayor Kasim Reed will host U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood for the kick-off of construction on the Atlanta Streetcar project. The Atlanta Streetcar project – funded in part by a $47.6 million TIGER II grant from the Obama Administration – will create jobs and bring new development to Atlanta. |
