Gary Brantley is an innovative technology strategist renowned for his financial acumen and expertise in cultivating productive collaborations. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the technology sector, in addition to 17 years of leadership, to the City of Atlanta as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Department of Atlanta Information Management (AIM). As CIO, Gary is accountable for information technology services for all 25 city departments to include Public Safety, Justice, Operations, Administration, and Hartsfield-Jackson Intl Airport.

Before joining AIM, Gary was the CIO for the DeKalb County School District, the third-largest school district in Georgia. While he was there, Gary spearheaded the district’s largest technology overhaul, Digital Dreamers, which included the distribution of over 70,000 end-user devices to teachers as well as students.

Gary began his career with IBM before becoming the Regional Operations Director for MCIWorldCom. There he continued to have an impact on technology and took that expertise to the Ohio State Department as the Director of Technology. He later became CIO for the Lorain City School District, which is one of the largest urban school districts in Ohio.

Gary’s admirable professionalism and unyielding dedication have earned him numerous awards and accolades. Gary was named as one of the Top 30 Technologists, Transformers and Trailblazers by the Center for Digital Education in 2015, ComputerWorld’s Premier Top 100 Technology Leaders for 2017 and awarded the Making IT Happen award from the International Society for Technology in Education. Gary was a finalist for the 2017-2018 Georgia CIO Leadership Association’s CIO of the Year Award.

Eric Anderson, based in Atlanta and New York, established and leads Egon Zehnder's Global Technology Enabled Services Practice as well as the firm's FinTech Practice, an area in which he has deep expertise for advising clients on leadership talent. He devotes much of his time to helping companies address innovation and digital disruption and works extensively across private equity to meet leadership and advisory needs. Eric also has deep experience in the educational technology sector. He is active in the Board Consulting, CEO, Technology and Communications, and Technology Officer practices.

Previously, Eric was President of the Compliance and Licensing Solutions Division of the BISYS Group, a leading provider of services to more than 22,000 financial institutions. That was preceded by the role of Vice President of EMEA at S1 Corporation, an enterprise financial-services-software company. The early stages of Eric's career centered on software, associated services, and health care/clinical diagnostics. Eric also served as a Helicopter Pilot in the U.S. Army.

Eric earned a BS in Marketing from the SmealCollege of Business at Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in international business from the University of Miami. He sits on the board of Eagle Ranch, a nonprofit organization that works with troubled boys and girls. Eric is also a founding member of the FinTech Society of the Technology Association of Georgia. He is married with three children and loves the outdoors, especially cycling in the North Georgia mountains.

Brian Benn is Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of the Atlanta Housing Authority. Brian is responsible for the development and implementation of technology strategies that are aligned with and anchored by the overarching strategy of the agency, ultimately supporting the 25,000 households and 70,000 participants served.

He studied Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and has a Master of Business Administration degree from Belhaven University. Brian has a wealth of IT leadership experience in both the private and public sector including the Department of Defense and NASA where he began his career. Brian volunteers as an Executive Ambassador for TechBridge, Incorporated, serves on the Executive Advisory Board for Atlanta Technology Professionals, the Advisory Board for the Government Technology Special Districts Program, the Greater Atlanta CIO Governing Body for Evanta and serves as Board Chair for the Technology Association of Georgia's Southeastern Software Association.

Brian is a technology evangelist with a passion for bridging the digital divide. Brian seeks to be a servant leader – mentoring individuals, promoting development/growth and empowering others to maximize their potential individually and collectively.

As Director of IoT/AI/Smart Cities Ecosystem Expansion with Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC), Cynthia Curry helps strengthen and expand Metro Atlanta’s IoT, AI, and Smart City ecosystems. As a member of the economic development team, she helps local companies grow while attracting new business and investment to the region by promoting and strengthening Metro Atlanta’s position as a technological powerhouse. Cynthia leads IoT.ATL, a consortium of Atlanta’s thought leaders dedicated to driving collaboration between the business, government, civic, and educational ecosystems to create resilient and sustainable communities leveraging technology. The IoT.ATL Living Labs program, launched in 2018, is an on-going initiative to leverage tech for good, and test and validate IoT/technology solutions that help ensure equity, inclusion, and sustainability in growing communities.

Cynthia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Philosophy from Georgia State University and has called Atlanta home for over 30 years. She consulted with companies on community engagement and talent acquisition for over 20 years to help build Atlanta’s technology ecosystem.

She serves on the boards of Georgia Tech’s CDAIT (Center for the Development and Application of Internet of Things Technologies), the TAG (Technology Association of Georgia) Mobility Board, and the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition board. Cynthia is a mom, wife, cyclist (road & MTB), runner, hiker, music lover, and food fanatic. Her passion for Atlanta, technology, and giving back to the community fuel her goal of helping the region do great things.

Martin Davis is executive vice president of Southern Company Services and chief information officer of Southern Company, one of America’s most respected companies and a leading producer of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy serving more than 9 million customers. Davis leads more than 2,000 technology professionals, supporting Southern Company’s subsidiaries.

Martin has spent over 30 years leading complex technology organizations in highly regulated environments. He served as head of enterprise information technology, executive vice president and chief technology officer at Wells Fargo. He was instrumental in the financial institution’s integration of Wachovia, leading the largest technology integration in the history of U.S. financial services. Martin has served in a wide range of technology leadership roles, including serving as Wachovia’s chief information officer.

Martin formerly served on the board of trustees at Winston-Salem State University. He currently serves on the American Heart Association’s Mid-Atlantic region board and the South State Corporation board of directors. He has been recognized as one of the “50 Most Important African-Americans in Technology” by U.S. Black Engineers & Information Technology magazine and one of the “75 Most Powerful African-Americans in Corporate America” by Black Enterprise. Most recently, Martin was featured in Savoy Magazine’s “2018 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America”.

Martin holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Winston-Salem State University and is a graduate of the Young Executives Institute and the Wachovia Executive Leadership Program at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Jay is currently Chief Information Officer at Quikrete, the largest manufacturer of packaged concrete and cement mixes in North America. Prior to Quikrete, Jay was Chief Customer Officer for Rackspace, Inc, a global managed hosting and cloud provider.

From 2012-2016, Jay was Global Chief Information Officer for the American Cancer Society (ACS), where he ACS’s historic digital transformation, as well as the consolidation of 12 independent companies into one global entity. Jay spent the previous eight years at American International Group (AIG), most recently as VP and CIO for AIG Aerospace, a worldwide aerospace insurer.

Jay is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer around the world. He has been featured in multiple publications, including Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, and CIO Magazine, and was also highlighted in the book Digital Transformation. Jay has been elected to multiple boards, including TechBridge, PowerMyLearning, and the American Cancer Society.

In recognition of his accomplishments, Jay was selected as Georgia CIO of the Year in both 2011 and 2015, Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader in 2015 and CIO Magazine CIO 100 in 2015. His commitment and dedication to giving back to the community is evidenced by the time and energy he contributes. In 2007, he founded the nonprofit group, Priscilla’s Promise, in honor of his late wife. Jay earned both his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and his Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Georgia and lives in Atlanta with his three sons.

Roy’s practice is international in scope and includes counseling clients worldwide on complex corporate transactions, particularly those involving technology, cyber-security, information management, e-commerce, economic development, telecommunications, outsourcing and intellectual property. Recognizing that companies and their boards face increasing liability and risks associated with cybersecurity, Roy serves as independent counsel to boards, board committees and government officials on cyber matters, helping them understand and mitigate legal risks and exposures to protect themselves and the companies/constituents they serve.

Roy was named as a “Game Changer” in Information Security by Hub Magazine and received the Pinnacle Leadership Award in 2017. He has been recognized by Legal 500 for his work in middle-market mergers and acquisitions and by Savoy Magazine as one of its 2015 Most Influential Black Lawyers, the “best of the best” who are partners at leading national law firms and corporate counsel at Fortune 1000 companies. Roy was also named one of America’s Most Influential Lawyers for 2013 and a 2012 Cyber Security Visionary by Black Engineering Magazine.

Prior to private practice, Roy’s business experience involved serving as Vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of AirGate PCS, Inc.; Vice president, corporate counsel and Chief Privacy Officer for WorldTravel BTI; and In-house counsel for Turner Entertainment Group/AOL Time Warner and MCI WorldCom.From 1993-1994, Roy was special counsel to the president of the American Bar Association. He also previously served as special assistant attorney general for the state of Georgia.

Tye Hayes is the Chief Technology Officer for the Department of Atlanta Information Management for the City of Atlanta. Tye is a Navy veteran and a consummate professional with over 20 years of experience as a Technologist, Solutions Architect and Business Strategist within in the Information Technology industry. Most recently, Tye served as the Deputy CIO for Atlanta Public Schools.  She has an extensive background in IT services, having previously served as an Information Security Officer for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics where she led the Information Security Compliance and Governance group. In this role, she directed information and data integrity for all IT functions, helping the company create its first Information Security Roadmap and an Integrated Forensics and Computer Incident Response team.

Tye’s established track record of technology leadership and digital transformation has been recognized on local and national levels. She is well respected within the Information Technology field, having been awarded the 2014 CIO 100 Award, STEM Women of Color for IT Leadership Award, Modern Day Technology Leader and Black Engineer Award.

Tye is a transformational leader with a myriad of experience in innovation, security and IT solutions. I stand with her as we continue to help AIM blaze forward.

Narayanan (KK) Krishnakumar is Chief Technology Officer at Delta Air Lines. KK leads architecture, quality assurance and a number of key application delivery groups. He is also responsible for Delta’s applications layer transformation, the Being Agile program and a few Centers of Expertise (Agile, API, DevOps), all as part of the airline’s efforts to continually develop fast and innovative solutions to enhance employee and customer experiences.

Before joining Delta, KK spent nine years at Dell Technologies/EMC where he was most recently Senior Vice President and CTO in Dell Digital. KK’s 25-plus-year career has included executive leadership roles within various industries at companies including State Street Corporation, Investors Bank and Trust and Fidelity Investments. A graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology (Madras), he holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from SUNY - Stony Brook and an MBA from the Babson College F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. Krishnakumar is a published author with 19 technical papers, multiple awarded/submitted patents and a book, "Databases and Mobile Computing" to his credit.

As Chief Technology Officer of the Nation’s premier Public Health Agency, Jaspal Sagoo is responsible for and leads the development of Information Technology standards, best practices and strategic guidance in support of CDC’s business and scientific mission priorities.

Under Jaspal, the CTO Office operates both the CDC Technology R&D and Infrastructure Architecture activities. He has been with CDC since 1989, serving in a number of roles. Beginning at the CDC National Center for HIV, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHSTP), Jaspal served as a Senior Network Engineer and Chief Technology Officer and Co-chair of the CDC CTO Council.

Since 2004, Jaspal has served as the CDC Chief Technology Officer, playing a significant role in the development of CDC IT Tactical and Strategic IT Policy. In addition to his role as CTO, he co-chairs the HHS Cloud Computing Advisory Council (CCAC), the CDC High-Performance Computing (HPC) committee and co-chairs the CDC Innovation and New Technologies Subcommittee (INTS). Jaspal holds undergraduate degrees in Telecommunications, Software Engineering, and MSc. In Information Systems.

As Georgia State University’s first Chief Innovation Officer, Phil Ventimiglia is helping shape Georgia State University’s exploration of new ideas for teaching and learning.

Phil has two decades of experience in new technology development and strategy, working internationally and across industries to foster growth of new technologies, encourage entrepreneurship and help grow educational opportunities.

Phil currently serves on the advisory board for the Educause Learning Initiative (ELI) and as a mentor in Georgia Institute of Technology’s Flashpoint startup incubation program. Before joining Georgia State University, Phil was Vice President for Innovation and New Product Development at NCR Corporation, where he led a team that focused on innovation and development. Phil also held the position of Vice President & General Manager for the NCR Hyderabad Development Center in India, where he led the creation of an independent, emerging-market development center and help to improve educational options available in the area.

Prior to NCR, Phil worked at Dell, helping to build and lead Dell’s entry into new sectors, including Inspiron notebooks, Dell Printers, Dell Flat Panel Monitors, Dell TVs and Dell Projectors. He also led the buildout of Dell’s Design Center in Singapore.

Phil began his career as a product marketing manager with the IBM Consumer Division and held various engineering positions at Lockheed Sanders. He holds a Masters of Public and Private Management from Yale and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut.

Larry K. Williams is President and Chief Executive Officer of The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and has served in this role since October 2016. As part of Mr Williams responsibilities, he leads the NTSC (National Technology Security Coalition) and TAG Education Collaborative benefiting youth in STEM and technology development.

A recognized leader in economic development, Mr. Williams brings more than 20 years of experience in international trade, finance, public and industrial policy and marketing. Throughout his career he has guided organizations connecting local and global initiatives and most recently, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Beacon Council Inc (one of 36 accredited economic development organizations in the nation). Williams' effort at the Beacon Council led Miami-Dade County to greater competitiveness.

Prior to joining the Beacon Group, Williams shaped the vision for the Atlanta tech industry as Vice President of Technology Development at the Metro Atlanta Chamber. Mr. Williams has held similar roles including serving on Washington State Governor's Global Competitiveness Council, leading Washington State's Tourism Commission and Director of Operations of International Trade for the North Carolina Department of Commerce to name a few. In these roles, Mr. Williams honed his strategic and operational expertise and led economic development emphasizing innovation, international trade and sustainable policy. Resilient and battle tested, Williams has advised and worked alongside 5 US Governors and dozens of foreign officials. Mr. Williams stays actively connected to the community serving on a range of boards, including Lt Governor Geoff Duncan's Partnership for Inclusive Innovation, Atlanta CIO Advisory; TECNA, the Economic Development Board, City of Brookhaven, the Buckhead Club; FinTech Atlanta, Metro Atlanta Chamber and Venture of Atlanta. For many of these Mr. Williams is a founding member and establishing vision, purpose and governance for good.
