About The Noise Ordinance Variance Application
The Noise Ordinance Variance Application is made for the purpose of seeking a temporary noise variance from City of Atlanta Code of Ordinances, Chapter 74, Article IV. A variance, if granted, is valid for 14 consecutive days. Any person holding a permit for temporary variance and requesting an extension of time shall for a new temporary variance permit. The fee for the issuance of a Noise Ordinance Variance is $25. This fee should be paid at the cashier’s window, City Hall, 55 Trinity Avenue, 1st Floor, Atlanta, Georgia 30303 upon receiving invoice.

General Office hours: Monday - Friday between the Hours of 8:15 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Finance (Cashier) Accepts payments until 4:00 p.m.

The Office of Buildings DOES NOT handle noise complaints. For NOISE COMPLAINTS, please contact your local police precinct.

Vehicular and pedestrian safety will be maintained at all times in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Part VI.
